Local AI
Run useful AI on hardware you control.
Local AI keeps model execution on a computer or server you choose. Glyph provides a desktop workspace for compatible local models and can connect trusted devices through GlyphNet when you deliberately enable that connection.

Model speed and quality depend on available memory, compute, model size, and quantization. A smaller model may respond quickly on a laptop while a larger model needs a workstation or shared model server. Hardware guidance should be treated as an estimate until tested with your workload.
What stays local
When a local model is selected, inference can run on the chosen device rather than a public model API. Features that use an external provider, account service, web search, or connector may still communicate with that service. Glyph keeps those destination choices distinct instead of promising that every configuration is offline.
A workable setup
Choose a model that fits available RAM, download it from a source you trust, and test representative prompts before relying on it. Teams can standardize approved providers and use customer-controlled model servers where laptop hardware is not the right fit.
