Glyph 1.1.13: Use your desktop from your phone, anywhere

The Remote workspace previously reached your desktop only at a local network address, so away from home the page was simply empty. It now relays through your own Fortaify account instead. Your desktop only ever dials out — no inbound port is opened, and nothing is exposed to the public internet. Paired phones also stay paired across a desktop restart, which they did not before. A new startup screen Glyph now opens on an animated startup screen instead of a plain spinner, and the onboarding steps that follow it continue the same screen rather than cutting to a different one, so a first launch reads as one continuous start. The animation is bounded to 30 frames per second so it cannot compete with the work of actually starting the app, and it holds still if you have asked your system to reduce motion. Use Glyph from your phone when you are not on the same Wi Fi The Remote workspace now works over cellular. Previously your phone reached the desktop only at a local network address, so away from home the page was empty and no models were listed. Glyph now relays those requests through your own Fortaify account instead. Your desktop only ever dials out. No inbound port is opened and nothing is exposed to the public internet, and requests from the phone are limited to the Remote workspace before they are allowed to run. Turning off "Allow remote control" cuts the off network connection exactly as it already cut the local one. Note: off network gives you the workspace, projects and model lists, but chat replies do not yet stream word by word. Paired phones stay paired Fixed a paired phone dropping to "reconnecting", then "disconnected", after the desktop restarted, which left you re pairing by hand. Hosting was only ever held in memory, so a restart quietly stopped it, and the check that guards each request could not see devices you had already paired. Hosting now resumes automatically on launch. Only hosting you had turned on is resumed; if it was off, it stays off. Removing a device now takes effect permanently. Previously a removed device was forgotten only until the next restart. Pairing by QR code hands your phone its access directly, so the host password never has to be typed on a phone screen. The grant expires in 15 minutes and is used once. The desktop also publishes its network address, so a phone paired with several machines can tell them apart. Cloud Relay Cloud Relay lets your phone follow desktop project chats through your shared account when the same network path is out of reach. This release adds pairing by QR, the paired device list, unpairing, and the relay pipeline itself. Signing in with Google now links the relay. This was the one sign in path that never linked it, and because a Google only account has no password to exchange, the relay could not be linked on that machine no matter how many times you signed in. Fixed the relay panel showing a red error for a desktop that simply had not been linked yet, and leaving a stale error on screen after the next successful check. Dictation and context windows Paired phones can dictate using the desktop's speech to text. Speech, speech synthesis and embedding models no longer appear in the shared chat model list, where they could not be used anyway. Models can be loaded with a chosen context length, and Glyph now reports both the active and the maximum context window of the loaded model. Connectors with many tools Fixed Glyph telling you an installed connector capability did not exist. A request can only carry a limited number of tools, and anything past that limit was dropped silently, so the model treated the shortened list as everything available. Glyph is now told how many tools were held back and can search the full set by name or keyword, so capabilities from your installed connectors stay reachable no matter how many are enabled. Added vidIQ and PostHog connectors. Organization and enterprise accounts Added Glyph Trust, the policy layer for organization managed installs, covering how content is inspected and what an administrator's policy can require. Your prompts, documents and matched text are not reported to your administrator; only the decision is. Settings Legal now describes what actually leaves your device, including that Cloud Relay stores relayed messages in Fortaify infrastructure until your desktop collects them. Both documents now match the website. Fixes Fixed the Cloud Relay link being lost for good. The saved relay credential could be dropped while it was being rewritten, or invalidated when several parts of the app renewed it at the same moment, and the only way back was a full sign in. Glyph now renews it one request at a time, verifies each write, and restores the credential if a write is lost. Fixed remote chats replying "I couldn't generate a response for that." every time, and fixed replies being held back until the model had finished instead of arriving as they were written. Fixed an administrator's policy not being applied on enrolled devices, which fell back to the built in default instead. Fixed a correct settings save reporting itself as data corruption whenever a cloud model with a saved API key was synced. A vision model that fails to load no longer tells you to add a file that is already there. It now names the actual reason and the model's architecture, which is usually the answer. Fixed text buttons in the relay panel overflowing their boxes, so "Disconnect" collided with the icon beside it and "Use" and "Unpair" ran together. Long device names are shortened with an ellipsis instead of spilling over. Fixed graphics driver hiccups that Glyph recovers from on its own being reported as crashes.
