Glyph 1.1.0: Agentic chat, projects, and a browser the agent can drive
The largest release since 1.0. The assistant can now use tools — run commands, read and write project files, search your computer, browse the web — under per conversation permission controls. Projects gain an integrated terminal and a live file tree, and local models got materially faster. Agent & Chat New agentic chat: the assistant can use tools — run commands, read and write project files, search your whole computer, and browse the web — with per conversation permission controls (Composer Mode). Embedded browser the agent can drive, plus an optional flow that controls your default browser (with screen reading on macOS). Web access in regular chat: guarded page fetching and web search with source cards. Uploaded documents now reliably reach the model and render properly; attachments show one chip per file and no longer re attach to later messages. New Thinking (hybrid reasoning) on/off toggle for models that support it. Chat auto scroll now sticks to the bottom while streaming, and long conversations no longer lag. Longer, non repeating answers: default context window raised to 16384 and proper sampling settings are now sent to the model. Projects Integrated terminal in the project workspace with draggable height. Live refreshing file tree and a minimizable Deliverables strip. Project chats are now fully independent from the main chat page. Models Refreshed cloud model catalog (GPT 5.x, Claude Opus 4.8 / Sonnet 5, Gemini 3.x) and remote image generation. Faster local models: GPU offload fix delivers significantly faster responses on most machines. Security & Stability Security hardening for web fetching and subscription entitlement checks. Fixed a dependency conflict that could break voice and image generation on macOS builds. Reduced background error report noise and fixed all outstanding test failures.
